John Armour옥스퍼드대 법학부 교수로 재직 중. 주요 연구 관심사는 법학과 경제학의 통합적 분석으로서, 특히 도산법과 회사법의 변경이 실제 경제에 미치는 영향에 중점을 두고 있다. Armour 교수는 영국의 통상산업부, 금융청과 도산국이 위탁한 정책연구과제를 다수 수행하였다. 최근의 저작으로는 After Enron: Reforming Corporate Governance and Capital Markets in Europe and the US (Joe McCahery와 공동편집, Hart Publishing, 2006), Who Writes the Rules for Hostile Takeovers, and Why?
